Sphero  |  2018 - 2019

Category Marketing Specialist

Sphero purchased our company Specdrums. I worked under Sphero’s Director of Marketing through the redevelopment and launch of the product at CES 2019. During that time I worked to craft the marketing/sales playbook, filled in as interim social media manager and strategist, created sales enablement videos for Sphero’s sales presentation at IFA in Berlin, edited video content for social media, led attendance to NAMM (worlds largest music expo), and supported planning and launch of product at CES which won Best in Show for our category by Wired Magazine.

Winfield Marketing  |  2015 - present

Freelance Marketing

During my time providing marketing content and strategies, I've enjoyed getting to know so many different business models and decision makers. Nearly every project and relationship was initiated through a balance of research and personal selling. This operation started during college with a mission of helping small businesses through video work and evolved far beyond anticipated. Over time it hasn't felt like ME, but rather feels like we.  I work with a number of different collaborators to the extent that it feels as though we are partners.

Selected as one of five interns to work on marketing research via Innovation to Enterprise as one of their youngest i2E Fellows on record. Gained perspective on B2B sales while working closely with the Monscierge sales teams from both the United States and the United Kingdom office. In addition to working with Salesforce, we worked heavily with collaborative spreadsheets and other collaboration tools.

Center for Innovation and Economic Development at Oklahoma State  |  May - OCt 2013

Student Assistant | Intern

Following my first year in the business college, I was fortunate to create the most empowering internship experience that someone like me could hope for.

The mission of the summer was to commercialize Oklahoma State University IP, in particular an arsenic removal sorbent under the DBA of Associated Material Processing. Working under an admirable leader was an enriching experience in itself. From the start I was let in to witness a $1.1million series A financing round from the ground floor. I was given a thick binder to study up on, but through the summer I spent a portion of each day researching. As one part of my experience at the CIED, I was tasked with researching industrial manufacturing equipment to transform the pilot facility into a production facility. I was ultimately entrusted with a $120,000 budget towards a plant. Through self study, I was able to optimize plant capacity and workflow beyond expectation and using radically less money. I was also active in establishing a LinkedIn presence in niche water treatment communities and identified key decision makers in our target market of semiconductor manufacturers.

(Note: The Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED) has reformulated and rebranded with the Oklahoma State University Research Foundation (OSURF).)
